Gondwana International Networks (GIN), a pan-African telecommunications provider, has implemented Integrasys’ Satmotion VSAT auto-commissioning tool for its satellite networks. Satmotion enhances the delivery, commissioning and maintenance of VSAT services, while also minimizing Operating Expenses (OPEX), time and interferences, according to Integrasys.
“By simply installing an app on a smartphone, whether Apple or Android, the VSAT installation capabilities are simplified making installation easy regardless of the installers’ level of experience. This not only reduces the installation time and associated costs, but more importantly means the customer is installed accurately first time with optimized polarization,” said Guy Schalker, CTO of GIN.
GIN, through the operating brands AfricaOnline and iWayAfrica, is one of the largest VSAT operators in Africa, providing satellite services in 44 countries. The company has rolled out Integrasys’ Satmotion technology together with Hughes Network Systems’ Jupiter platform.
